Progressive Services Pte. Ltd. (“Progressive Services”) began its journey in 1969 under the name B.P.Y. Private Limited. As the company evolved to meet the changing needs of its clients, it was rebranded as Progressive Corporate Services Pte. Ltd. in 2011.
On 1 July 2024, the company embraced a new chapter by adopting its current name, Progressive Services. This transition marked a significant milestone, aligning the organization’s legal structure with its growing ambitions while honouring its established legacy of trust and excellence.

YBP, originally founded in 1975 as Yap Boh Pin & Co by Mr. Melvin Yap Boh Pin, has built a legacy of trust and excellence in the audit and accounting industry. Mr. Melvin Yap officially retired from the firm at the end of 1999.
In 1985, Mr. Frederick Chieng Leong Kwong became a partner, bringing valuable experience from Hong Kong and Malaysia. He has been the Managing Partner of the firm since 2000, leading a dedicated team of professionals focused on providing top-quality, cost-effective services to clients.
In early 2024, Mr. Gary Low joined the firm as a partner, specializing in audit and assurance services, and contributing to the firm’s growth and expansion of services.
In July 2024, Yap Boh Pin & Co officially rebranded to YBP to better align with the evolving business landscape while maintaining our commitment to being one of your trusted business partners.
YBP are associated with independent professional accounting firms and business advisers located in China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia and Taiwan.
With over 50 years of business in Singapore, we understand the structure of different industries and provides industry-focused services for all organisations, whatever the size of the organisation.
Our clients are from most fields of business in Singapore and include subsidiaries of multi-national corporations, companies operating in industries as diverse as commodities trading, property investments, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, solicitors, construction, union and many more.
